Filings put every employer's roles under the same government occupation codes, which makes it possible to compare one job across companies. We took the 15 employers with the most certified filings under the Software Developers code, for applications received from October 2025 through June 2026. Amazon appears three times because it files through separate companies.

Why the gap is so wide
Meta's median is about 1.7 times Compunnel's for the same occupation code. Part of that is pay policy, and part is who gets hired and where. The code is broad enough to cover a new graduate and a senior engineer, so the people behind each row differ.
The largest IT services firms barely appear in this comparison, because they file mostly under other computing codes. Cognizant had 5,550 certified filings overall and fewer than 200 under this one. Comparing them on this table would cover a small slice of their work.
Base pay is only part of it
Filings record base wages. At large public tech companies, stock can add a great deal on top, and at some employers it can matter more than the difference between two rows in this table. If you are comparing offers, use these figures as a check on base salary only.
You can see the title-level detail on each company page, including the most filed job titles and how filings have changed by year.
